The Hill-top Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE CGFG HIJI CKLK CMNM

Alone upon my hill topA
After the ravelled rainsB
I see the cloudy mountainsC
I see the misty plainsB
-
Fair is my hill and ruggedD
Where silken grasses growE
And the drifted clouds go by meF
More soft than woven snowE
-
The pale fantastic lichensC
Make patterns on the stoneG
And the oaks are old and dwarf dF
With golden mosses grownG
-
Beneath the ancient bouldersH
There dwells the shadowy fernI
And here the twisted pine treesJ
To shapes of beauty turnI
-
I wander through the seasonsC
With thoughts of love and griefK
That fall with the flowers of springtimeL
Or blow with the autumn leafK
-
Between the plains and mountainsC
Between the clouds and grassM
I find the dreams that lingerN
And the fairer dreams that passM
