The Burden Of The Suns Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA ACDACD

Wherefore thy burden and thy toil O SunA
Borne up the steep and hollow heavens afarB
Thy worlds retard thee who wert else a starB
Swift with white speed of many a lonelier oneA
And heaving mightily thy pulses runA
Swollen with fires of effort Shall MizarB
Not pass thee or the suns of AlgebarB
And hopest thou to close with ProcyonA
-
Howbeit thou and these thy starrier kinA
Transcending thee strain ever tho apartC
And with unequal speed within the sameD
Black maze of night and Time where all shall winA
Tho with no path nor clue the hollow heartC
Uncompassed and oblivious whence they cameD
