Surrealist Sonnet Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA BBBBBB

The lyrebird giblets in the frying panA
cheep crisply to the sibilant blue gasB
A Congo mouth gulps a blonde demitasseB
then spews on the flowered rug from IspahanA
Rome's red flamingo feathers wave their fanA
while stilt legged craw and stomach sac alasB
march down beneath aforetime's blear morassB
bannered with mildewed naperies of manA
-
But brandished over stale antiquitiesB
still rise the verdant hones of gluttoniesB
flying the parchments of new horoscopesB
The sage arachnidan from RegulusB
amid its souvenirs on raddled ropesB
will haply hang some dried esophagusB
