Sonnet (empress) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAAAAAAABAACA

Empress with eyes more sad and aureateA
Than sunset ebbing on a summer coastA
What gold chimera lovest thou the mostA
What gryphon with emblazoned wings elateA
Or dragon straying from the dim estateA
Of kings that sway the continents uttermostA
Of old Saturnus Or what god or ghostA
Or spacial demon for thy spirit's mateA
Art fain to choose Howbeit in thy heartA
Though void as now to vision and desireB
The days and years deny thee shall abideA
The passion of the impossible the prideA
Of lust immortal for the monstrous ireC
And pain of love in scarlet worlds apartA
