Song Of The Necromancer Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBBA BCCCB DAAAD EBBBE FAAAG HBBBH BIIIB

I will repeat a subtle runeA
And thronging suns of OtherwhereB
Shall blaze upon the blinded airB
And spectres terrible and fairB
Shall wake the riven world at noonA
-
The star that was mine emperyB
In dust upon unwinnowed skiesC
But primal dreams have made me wiseC
And soon the shattered years shall riseC
To my remembered sorceryB
-
To mantic mutterings brief and lowD
My palaces shall lift amainA
My bowers bloom I will regainA
The lips whereon my lips have lainA
In rose red twilights long agoD
-
Before my murmured exorcismE
The world a wispy wraith shall fleeB
A stranger earth a weirder seaB
People with shapes of F eryB
Shall swell upon the waste abysmE
-
The pantheons of darkened starsF
Shall file athwart the crocus dawnA
Goddess and Gorgon Lar and faunA
Shall tread the amaranthine lawnA
And giants fight their thunderous warsG
-
Like graven mountains of basaltH
Dark idols of my demons thereB
Shall tower through bright zones of airB
Fronting the sun with level stareB
And hell shall pave my deepest vaultH
-
Phantom and fiend and sorcerorB
Shall serve me till my term shall passI
And I become no more alasI
Than a frail shadow on the glassI
Before some latter conjurerB
