Song Of Sappho's Arabian Daughter Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBB DBBDD ECCE FDDFF

Dreaming I said 'When she is comeA
This desert garden that is meB
For her shall offer mellowlyC
Its myrrh and its olibanumB
When she is comeB
-
'The flowers of the noon for herD
With blossoms of the sun shall bloomB
The fading roses breathe perfumeB
The lightly fallen petals stirD
And sigh to herD
-
'Her presence like a living windE
Each little leaf makes visibleC
Shalt enter there or lilac the spellC
Upon the lulling leaves divinedE
Of silent wind '-
-
Alas for she has come and goneF
And in the garden green for herD
The flowers fall the flowers stirD
Only to winds of night and dawnF
For she has goneF
