Rhyme Scheme: ABBC DEEF GHHI JKKL MNNO PQQR STTU ABBC

White iris on thy bierA
With the white rose we strewB
And lotus pale or blueB
As moonlight on the orient mountain snowsC
-
Slumber as they that sleepD
In the slow sands unknownE
Or under seas that zoneE
With lulling foam the sealed extremer landsF
-
Slumber with songless birdsG
That sang and sang to deathH
Giving their gladder breathH
To lonely winds in one melodious pangI
-
Sleep with the golden queensJ
Of planets long forgotK
Whose fire soft lips are notK
Recalled by any sorcery of songL
-
Sleep with the towers that wereM
And any leaf that fellN
On field or flowerless dellN
In autumns lost of memory and griefO
-
Pass with the music townP
From ivory lyre and luteQ
Of mellow string left muteQ
In cities desolate ere the dream of TyreR
-
Pass with the clouds that sankS
In sunset turned to greyT
On some Edenic dayT
For which the exiled years have ever yearnedU
-
White iris on thy bierA
With the white rose we strewB
And lotus pale or blueB
As moonlight on the orient mountain snowsC
