Postlude Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABA CDC EFE GHG

Hearkening now the voices of the crowdA
Have you forgot the faint Parnassian musicB
We heard between the bracken and the cloudA
-
What have you found amid the many facesC
Nothing remains for me save the spent echoesD
Of words we said in falcon hovered placesC
-
O tryst too long delayed too long deniedE
I meet on changing paths a faceless phantomF
Exile and chill as wisps of eventideE
-
Empty the forest now empty the streamG
Your naked body on the noonlit hillH
Has gone with the cloudy lovers lost in dreamG
