Scorners of the Muse, beware !
She that you deny is queen
Of a thunder-girt demesne
In the worlds of Otherwhere:
Ships that ply on shadowy seas
Past the surging galaxies,
Bring the loot of heaven and hell
To her stellar citadel;
Powers benignant and malign
In her single service join,
Cherubim and seraphim
Wait upon her briefest whim;
Gods august you have not known
Gather to her awful throne,
Demons that you wot not of
Serve her with a fearful love;
Dim Summanus, lord of night,
Is her moiling minister,
Demogorgon toils for her
In the darkling Infinite.
