Midnight Beach Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBBA CDDDC EAAAA EFFFE AEEEA

In starlight by the ghostly seaA
We ran we loitered hand in handB
Along the lone unending strandB
Where flowing in the surf wet sandB
The wan stars raced or paused as weA
-
Aloof we seemed from time and changeC
Like runes a magian might unrollD
Upon some old unfading scrollD
Or phantoms loosed from earthly doleD
In starry freedom lone and strangeC
-
Some great unspoken gramarieE
Had exorcised that incubusA
The world that fell away from usA
Reborn and dear and perilousA
The past arose beside the seaA
-
Returning in that mystic hourE
Above us hovered many a nightF
That had your eyes alone for lightF
Full petaled past all worldly blightF
Love bloomed an amaranthine flowerE
-
In starlight by the ghostly seaA
I caught and kissed you as of yoreE
We ran we tarried as beforeE
Where flowing on the surf wet shoreE
The wan stars raced or paused as weA
