Maya Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACDCD EFGGFH

Fools of the world who dream that dreams are trueA
Believing still that life is what it seemsB
And trustful that the world is more than dreamsB
Free for a little I have laughed at youA
Knowing all this a ghostly gossamerC
In some eternal room of darkness spunD
A laughter of forgotten gods that wereC
Echoing still in waste oblivionD
-
But once again as others I have lentE
myself to earthly ways and earthly wallsF
Illusion of illusion fantasyG
Of doubtful phantoms nevermore to beG
When slumber on the last delirium fallsF
And lulls the tossing shadows turbulentH
