Malediction Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABA BCB CDC DED EFE FGF G

While the black perennial snowsA
Piled about the pole of nightB
Swell the fount whence Lethe flowsA
-
While the worm apart from lightB
Eats the page where magians poredC
While the kraken blind and whiteB
-
Guards the greening books abhorredC
Where the evil oghams rustD
In accurst Atlantis storedC
-
While beneath the seal of dustD
Dead mouths mutter not in sleepE
To betray oblivion's trustD
-
While the dusky planets keepE
Past the outlands of the sunF
Circuits of a sunless deepE
-
Never shall the spell be doneF
And the curse be lifted neverG
That shall find and leave you oneF
-
With forgotten things for everG
