Inheritance Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKL GDMNA

Of all the sovereignty thine eyes obtainA
Thy grant of vision from the royal sunB
And all thine appanage of lordly dreamC
The dust wherewith the worm is parcenerD
Waits with perennial claim nor will resignE
Its right in thee All glories and all gleamsF
The seven splendors that inform the lightG
And beauties immemorial as the moonH
Robing the barren world all which thine eyesI
Hold for inheritance at length shall fillJ
The blindness and oblivion of the graveK
And leave it darkL
-
With dustiness and nightG
Upon thy mouth of stary proud desireD
With slumber for thy dreams thou wilt reposeM
Nor startle when the lazy loitering wormN
Is slow to leave the tavern of thy brainA
