Inferno Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDEECD

Grey hells or hells aglow with hot and scarlet flowersA
White hells of light and clamor hells the abominationB
Of breathless deep sepulchral desolationB
Oppresses ever I have known them all through hoursA
Tedious as dead eternity where timeless powersA
Leagued in malign omnipotent persuasionB
Wearing the guise of love despair and aspirationB
For ever drove through ashen fields and burning bowersA
-
My soul that found no sanctuary For LuciferC
And all the weary proud imperious baffled onesD
Made in his image hell is anywhere the iceE
Of hyperboreal deserts or the blowing spiceE
In winds from off Sumatra for each wandererC
Preserves the jealous flame of sad infernal sunsD
