December Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA CDDC EFFE GHHG IJJI

From the sad leaves withdrawnA
Remote estranged and coldB
Forgetful autumn's goldB
Alone abides in some December dawnA
-
Tearless and clear and chillC
As eyes that have forgotD
Far love or find it notD
The pale bright heavens arch the barren hillC
-
Now in this afternoonE
Enchanted blue and briefF
The year has lost its griefF
In valleys mute below the spectral moonE
-
For here no mourning doveG
Laments the season flownH
On love that wanders loneH
Falls the blue balm of silence from aboveG
-
For here no zephyr grievesI
To tell the year's dead dreamJ
And down the pine lulled streamJ
Lost memories drift and loiter with the leavesI
