Calendar Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDDEFGHI FIEJKLK MENOPO

To find with you the earliestA
Willow buds before their silver turns to goldB
And the first previous buttercup and cyclamen that blossomC
Ere the leaflets of the vernal trees unfoldB
To lie with you in JuneD
Beneath a broad magnolia scented moonD
And under stars and meteors of late summerE
To see with youF
The goldenrod become an ashen ghostG
And the rose of autumn crumbleH
And the leaf put on the splendor of the roseI
-
And the last leaf fall upon the wintry blueF
In a wind from the lofty snowsI
To sit with you beside the murmuring fireE
When a stifled sunset diesJ
And watch through misty panesK
The boughs that toss upon a winter driven skyL
And the swift eternal slanting of dark rainsK
-
These are my seasonsM
This is my calendarE
Where love appoints the course of many a sun and starN
And wanting you I should not care nor knowO
If it were the time of falling jasmine petalsP
Or the time of falling snowO
