Belated Love Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCA DEED FGG FDD

Ah woe is me for Love hath lain asleepA
Hath lain too long in some Circean closeB
Till on his dreaming wings the ruined roseC
Fell lightly and the rose red leaves were deepA
-
Ah wellaway for love is overlateD
Far wandering alone we know not whereE
He found the white and purple poppies fairE
Nor heard the summer pass importunateD
-
Sweet Love can we forgive thy loiteringF
The golden summer like a dream at dawnG
Changes and from our kindled eyes is goneG
-
And leaves grey autumn We have heard thy wingF
But with a sound of sighing heart on heartD
In our own sighs we hear thy wing departD
