Before Sunrise Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEDE FGFG HIHI

I rose in that hushed hour before the dawnA
Unveils its wonder old yet ever newB
When still the night lies languidly uponC
The earth though stars are growing faint and fewB
-
Up the long path I went nor paused to restD
Along the cool dark way till on the hillE
I stood where dawn's first breeze my brow caressedD
With mingled odorous breath and mountain chillE
-
To west hung heavily the drowsy nightF
Weighted with fog low clinging grey and dimG
Adown each valley and about each heightF
Thro' which the sinking stars appeared to swimG
-
I turned and lo how pale the eastland's faceH
As if it mourned the starlit night's declineI
Ere youthful Day coming with eager paceH
With kisses should that cheek incarnadineI
