Anodyne Of Autumn Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCCC DDCEEC FFGHHG IICJJC

Full ripened on the boughA
Pends the bright apple nowA
And the lees fall from out the unclouded wineB
These memories that returnC
Pour from their mellowing urnC
A dreamful and delicious anodyneC
-
O love thy face thy handsD
Long lost in sadder landsD
Somewhere amid this golden dale remainC
All that was flown and dearE
Lies somehow warm and nearE
Nothing is gone but loneliness and painC
-
All day I follow stillF
On western wold or hillF
The dream redreamed the enchantment wrought once moreG
Tomorrow brings at lastH
All blisses of the pastH
For him that drinks of autumn's mandragoreG
-
No bitter winds awakeI
In reedy tarn or brakeI
The citron sunset leaves an orange moonC
Before my senses floatJ
Thy breasts thy lips thy throatJ
Like fruit of Hesperus in a poppy swoonC
