Amor Autumnalis Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKLGMNGOMy love is the flame of an unfading autumn | A |
It is the flare of unconsuming leaves | B |
In an ecstasy of halcyonian space and light | C |
It is the lingering of tall untended flowers | D |
And winds that bear the balsams of flown summer | E |
In a valley land oblivious and secluded | F |
Where you shall come and wander tranquilly | G |
Forgetful of the roseless gardens | H |
In a quiet valley land | I |
Where vine to sanguine colored vine shall lead you on | J |
Where golden woods and hills shall fold you in | K |
And you shall peer on pools of lucid bronze | L |
And of black opal | G |
On vistas of the climbing pine | M |
And amber willows burning | N |
Against the dreamful mauve of mountains floating vaguely | G |
Within the skies' faint fringes | O |
