A Dead City Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDEDEC

Twilight ascends the abandoned ramps of noonA
Within an ancient land whose after timeB
Unfathomably shadows its ruined primeB
Like rising mist the night increases soonA
Round shattered palaces ere yet the moonA
On mute unsentried walls and turrets climbB
And touch with pallor of sepulchral rimeB
The desert where a city's bones are strewnA
-
She comes at last unsepultured they showC
In all the hoary starkness of old stoneD
From out a shadow like the lips of DeathE
Issues a wind that through the ruins blownD
Cries like a prophet's ghost with waiting breathE
The weirds of finished and forgotten woeC
