Hymn To The Dairymaids On Beacon Street Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFFGHEEIIJK DDLLMM

Sweetly solemn see them standA
Spinning churns on either handA
Neatly capped and aproned whiteB
Airy fairy dairy sightB
Jersey priestesses they seemC
Miracling milk to creamC
Cream solidifies to cheeseD
By Pasteural mysteriesD
And they give within their shrineE
Their communi n in kineE
Incantations pure they mutterF
O'er the golden minted butterF
And no layman hand can pen itG
See them gloat above their rennetH
By that hillside window paneE
Rugged teamsters draw the reinE
Doff the battered hat and bowI
To these acolytes of cowI
Genuflect ye passersbyJ
Muse upon their ritual highK
Milk to cream yea cream to cheeseD
White lacteal mysteriesD
Let adorers sing the wordL
Of the smoothly flowing curdL
Yea we sing with bells and fifeM
This is the whey this is the LifeM
