I Am Shut Out Of Mine Own Heart Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEDE FGFG HIHI JKJK ABAB

I am shut out of mine own heartA
because my love is far from meB
nor in the wonders have I partA
that fill its hidden emperyC
-
the wildwood of adventurous thoughtD
and lands of dawn my dream had wonE
the riches out of Faery broughtD
are buried with our bridal sunE
-
And I am in a narrow placeF
and all its little streets are coldG
because the absence of her faceF
has robb'd the sullen air of goldG
-
My home is in a broader dayH
at times I catch it glisteningI
thro' the dull gate a flower'd playH
and odour of undying springI
-
the long days that I lived aloneJ
sweet madness of the springs I miss'dK
are shed beyond and thro' them blownJ
clear laughter and my lips are kiss'dK
-
and here from mine own joy apartA
I wait the turning of the keyB
I am shut out of mine own heartA
because my love is far from meB
