And Shall The Living Waters Heed Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGHGHICJC

And shall the living waters heedA
our vain desire insensate ArtB
and fill the common dust I kneadA
upgather'd from the trodden martB
As well might they forsake their climeC
of virgin green and blue to creepD
in cities where our tears are slimeC
where our unquicken'd bodies sleepD
But thou O soul hast stood for sureE
in the far paradisal bowerF
there where our passion sparkles pureE
beneath the eternal morning hourF
and oft in twilights listeningG
my sleeping memories are stirr'dH
by lavings of the unstaunched springG
upwelling in a sudden wordH
Why shouldst thou come to squander hereI
the treasure of those deeps on meC
nay where our fount is free and clearJ
stay there and let me come to theeC
