The First Spring Day Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDD EEDDFF BBGHDD

I wonder if the sap is stirring yetA
If wintry birds are dreaming of a mateB
If frozen snowdrops feel as yet the sunC
And crocus fires are kindling one by oneC
Sing robin singD
I still am sore in doubt concerning SpringD
-
I wonder if the spring tide of this yearE
Will bring another Spring both lost and dearE
If heart and spirit will find out their SpringD
Or if the world alone will bud and singD
Sing hope to meF
Sweet notes my hope soft notes for memoryF
-
The sap will surely quicken soon or lateB
The tardiest bird will twitter to a mateB
So Spring must dawn again with warmth and bloomG
Or in this world or in the world to comeH
Sing voice of SpringD
Till I too blossom and rejoice and singD
