Piteous My Rhyme Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCCADDDC EBCBCEDDDC

Piteous my rhyme isA
What while I muse of love and painB
Of love misspent of love in vainB
Of love that is not loved againC
And is this all thenC
As long as time isA
Love loveth Time is but a spanD
The dalliance space of dying manD
And is this all immortals canD
The gain were small thenC
-
Love loves for everE
And finds a sort of joy in painB
And gives with nought to take againC
And loves too well to end in vainB
Is the gain small thenC
Love laughs at neverE
Outlives our life exceeds the spanD
Appointed to mere mortal manD
All which love is and does and canD
Is all in all thenC
