Looking Forward Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACCB DEDFFE GHGIJH KLLMML NLNLLL

Sleep let me sleep for I am sick of careA
Sleep let me sleep for my pain wearies meB
Shut out the light thicken the heavy airA
With drowsy incense let a distant streamC
Of music lull me languid as a dreamC
Soft as the whisper of a Summer seaB
-
Pluck me no rose that groweth on a thornD
Nor myrtle white and cold as snow in JuneE
Fit for a virgin on her marriage mornD
But bring me poppies brimmed with sleepy deathF
And ivy choking what it garlandethF
And primroses that open to the moonE
-
Listen the music swells into a songG
A simple song I loved in days of yoreH
The echoes take it up and up alongG
The hills and the wind blows it back againI
Peace peace there is a memory in that strainJ
Of happy days that shall return no moreH
-
Oh peace your music wakeneth old thoughtK
But not old hope that made my life so sweetL
Only the longing that must end in noughtL
Have patience with me friends a little whileM
For soon where you shall dance and sing and smileM
My quickened dust may blossom at your feetL
-
Sweet thought that I may yet live and grow greenN
That leaves may yet spring from the withered rootL
And buds and flowers and berries half unseenN
Then if you haply muse upon the pastL
Say this Poor child she hath her wish at lastL
Barren through life but in death bearing fruitL
