Guesses Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACCB DEEDDAAE AFFAAGGF HIIIIAAI

Was it a chance that made her pauseA
One moment at the opened doorB
Pale where she stood so flushed beforeB
As one a spirit overawesA
Or might it rather be becauseA
She felt the grave was at our feetC
And felt that we should no more meetC
Upon its hither side no moreB
-
Was it a chance that made her turnD
Once toward the window passing byE
One moment with a shrinking eyeE
Wherein her spirit seemed to yearnD
Or did her soul then first discernD
How long and rough the pathway isA
That leads us home from vanitiesA
And how it will be good to dieE
-
There was a hill she had to passA
And while I watched her up the hillF
She stooped one moment hurrying stillF
But left a rose upon the grassA
Was it mere idleness or wasA
Herself with her own self at strifeG
Till while she chose the better lifeG
She felt this life has power to killF
-
Perhaps she did it carelesslyH
Perhaps it was an idle thoughtI
Or else it was the grace unboughtI
A pledge to all eternityI
I know not yet how this may beI
But I shall know when face to faceA
In Paradise we find a placeA
And love with love that endeth notI
