Bird Or Beast? Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE AGHG IJKJ LMNM

Did any bird come flyingA
After Adam and EveB
When the door was shut against themC
And they sat down to grieveB
-
I think not Eve's peacockD
Splendid to seeE
And I think not Adam's eagleF
But a dove may beE
-
Did any beast come pushingA
Through the thorny hedgeG
Into the thorny thistly worldH
Out from Eden's edgeG
-
I think not a lionI
Though his strength is suchJ
But an innocent loving lambK
May have done as muchJ
-
If the dove preached from her boughL
And the lamb from his sodM
The lamb and the doveN
Were preachers sent from GodM
