Aloof Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDCDDC

The irresponsive silence of the landA
The irresponsive sounding of the seaB
Speak both one message of one sense to meB
Aloof aloof we stand aloof so standA
Thou too aloof bound with the flawless bandA
Of inner solitude we bind not theeB
But who from thy self chain shall set thee freeB
What heart shall touch thy heart What hand thy handA
And I am sometimes proud and sometimes meekC
And sometimes I remember days of oldD
When fellowship seem'd not so far to seekC
And all the world and I seem'd much less coldD
And at the rainbow's foot lay surely goldD
And hope felt strong and life itself not weakC
