A Pause Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDCDCD

They made the chamber sweet with flowers and leavesA
And the bed sweet with flowers on which I layB
While my soul love bound loitered on its wayB
I did not hear the birds about the eavesA
Nor hear the reapers talk among the sheavesA
Only my soul kept watch from day to dayB
My thirsty soul kept watch for one awayB
Perhaps he loves I thought remembers grievesA
At length there came the step upon the stairC
Upon the lock the old familiar handD
Then first my spirit seemed to scent the airC
Of Paradise then first the tardy sandD
Of time ran golden and I felt my hairC
Put on a glory and my soul expandD
