A Pageant And Other Poems Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBABCBCDEFFDG

Sonnets are full of love and this my tomeA
Has many sonnets so here now shall beB
One sonnet more a love sonnet from meB
To her whose heart is my heart's quiet homeA
To my first Love my Mother on whose kneeB
I learnt love lore that is not troublesomeC
Whose service is my special dignityB
And she my loadstar while I go and comeC
And so because you love me and becauseD
I love you Mother I have woven a wreathE
Of rhymes wherewith to crown your honored nameF
In you not fourscore years can dim the flameF
Of love whose blessed glow transcends the lawsD
Of time and change and mortal life and deathG
