A Green Cornfield Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCBC ADAD EFEF GAGA

And singing still dost soar and soaring ever singestA
-
-
The earth was green the sky was blueB
I saw and heard one sunny mornC
A skylark hang between the twoB
A singing speck above the cornC
-
A stage below in gay accordA
White butterflies danced on the wingD
And still the singing skylark soaredA
And silent sank and soared to singD
-
The cornfield stretched a tender greenE
To right and left beside my walksF
I knew he had a nest unseenE
Somewhere among the million stalksF
-
And as I paused to hear his songG
While swift the sunny moments slidA
Perhaps his mate sat listening longG
And listened longer than I didA
