A Candlemas Dialogue Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAAA BBCBB DDDDD EEEEE FFFFF GGGGG

Love brought Me down and cannot love make theeA
Carol for joy to MeA
Hear cheerful robin carol from his treeA
Who owes not half to MeA
I won for theeA
-
Yea Lord I hear his carol's wordless voiceB
And well may he rejoiceB
Who hath not heard of death's discordant noiseC
So might I too rejoiceB
With such a voiceB
-
True thou hast compassed death but hast not thouD
The tree of life's own boughD
Am I not Life and Resurrection nowD
My Cross balm bearing boughD
For such as thouD
-
Ah me Thy Cross but that seems far awayE
Thy Cradle song to dayE
I too would raise and worship Thee and prayE
Not empty Lord to dayE
Send me awayE
-
If thou wilt not go empty spend thy storeF
And I will give thee moreF
Yea make thee ten times richer than beforeF
Give more and give yet moreF
Out of thy storeF
-
Because Thou givest me Thyself I willG
Thy blessed word fulfilG
Give with both hands and hoard by giving stillG
Thy pleasure to fulfilG
And work Thy WillG
