Twilight Night Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCBCC BDBDD EFEFF GHGGHG I I EHEEHE

The Argosy MarchA
-
-
I-
-
We met hand to handB
We clasped hands close and fastC
As close as oak and ivy standB
But it is pastC
Come day come night day comes at lastC
-
We loosed hand from handB
We parted face from faceD
Each went his way to his own landB
At his own paceD
Each went to fill his separate placeD
-
If we should meet one dayE
If both should not forgetF
We shall clasp hands the accustomed wayE
As when we metF
So long ago as I remember yetF
-
II-
-
Where my heart is wherever that may beG
Might I but followH
If you fly thither over heath and leaG
O honey seeking beeG
O careless swallowH
Bid some for whom I watch keep watch for meG
-
Alas that we must dwell my heart and I-
So far asunderI
Hours wax to days and days and days creep by-
I watch with wistful eye-
I wait and wonderI
When will that day draw nigh that hour draw nigh-
-
Not yesterday and not I think to dayE
Perhaps to morrowH
Day after day 'to morrow' thus I sayE
I watched so yesterdayE
In hope and sorrowH
Again to day I watch the accustomed wayE
