Rest - Sonnet Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBCDEDFFE

O Earth lie heavily upon her eyesA
Seal her sweet eyes weary of watching EarthB
Lie close around her leave no room for mirthB
With its harsh laughter nor for sound of sighsA
She hath no questions she hath no repliesA
Hushed in and curtained with a bless d dearthB
Of all that irked her from the hour of birthB
With stillness that is almost ParadiseC
Darkness more clear than noon day holdeth herD
Silence more musical than any songE
Even her very heart has ceased to stirD
Until the morning of EternityF
Her rest shall not begin nor end but beF
And when she wakes she will not think it longE
