Autumn Violets Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCCBBCCBDEFEDF

Keep love for youth and violets for the springB
Of if these bloom when worn out autumn grievesC
Let them lie hid in double shade of leavesC
Their own and others dropped down witheringB
For violets suit when home birds build and singB
Not when the outbound bird a passage cleavesC
Not with dry stubble of mown harvest sheavesC
But when the green world buds to blossomingB
Keep violets for the spring and love for youthD
Love that should dwell with beauty mirth and hopeE
Or if a later sadder love be bornF
Let this not look for grace beyond its scopeE
But give itself nor plead for answering truthD
A grateful Ruth tho' gleaning scanty cornF
