At Home Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGF HIJ K L MNONPNKN QRSTUNVN

When I was dead my spirit turnedA
To seek the much frequented houseB
I passed the door and saw my friendsC
Feasting beneath green orange boughsD
From hand to hand they pushed the wineE
They sucked the pulp of plum and peachF
They sang they jested and they laughedG
For each was loved of eachF
-
I listened to their honest chatH
Said one 'To morrow we shall beI
Plod plod along the featureless sandsJ
And coasting miles and miles of sea '-
Said one 'Before the turn of tideK
We will achieve the eyrie seat '-
Said one 'To morrow shall be likeL
To day but much more sweet '-
-
'To morrow ' said they strong with hopeM
And dwelt upon the pleasant wayN
'To morrow ' cried they one and allO
While no one spoke of yesterdayN
Their life stood full at blessed noonP
I only I had passed awayN
'To morrow and to day ' they criedK
I was of yesterdayN
-
I shivered comfortless but castQ
No chill across the tableclothR
I all forgotten shivered sadS
To stay and yet to part how lothT
I passed from the familiar roomU
I who from love had passed awayN
Like the remembrance of a guestV
That tarrieth but a dayN
