A God In Me Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFG HGI JK

Gently I walked into abandoned churchA
I saw her alter growing weeds and her priest burning with God's words in his fistsB
I saw his fumes flying freely to the skyC
But it's not a sacrificeD
-
The burnt blood of priestsE
Cuddles in the face of rainbowF
As their ghosts wallow in search of godsG
-
I'm only a humanH
Holding oceans in my veins but in my heart are houses of godsG
And my face is her casementI
-
I will shape my mouth into a roofJ
And make a God with my body and bonesK

Poet's note: "A GOD IN ME" is a poem I wrote in the year 2019 The ill concept of the relationship between men and their God inspired me alot in writing the poem When I was young I was tought that going to church and walking in the light of their preaching is the only way to better life As I grew older I see that what I was taught is far from making the world a better place I saw segregations, discrimination, and dishonesty inside the hole I was taught to bury my hope, where I was taught that I would find my God I knew it's no more as any other place And I have chosen to seek my own God within me "I have to shape my mouth into a roof and make a God with my body and bones.
