On A Subway Express Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCE FGFG HIHJ KLKL MNMN OMMM

I who have lost the stars the sodA
For chilling pave and cheerless lightB
Have made my meeting place with GodA
A new and nether NightB
-
Have found a fane where thunder fillsC
Loud caverns tremulous and theseD
Atone me for my reverend hillsC
And moonlit silencesE
-
A figment in the crowded darkF
Where men sit muted by the roarG
I ride upon the whirring SparkF
Beneath the city's floorG
-
In this dim firmament the starsH
Whirl by in blazing files and tiersI
Kin meteors graze our flying barsH
Amid the spinning spheresJ
-
Speed speed until the quivering railsK
Flash silver where the head light gleamsL
As when on lakes the Moon impalesK
The waves upon its beamsL
-
Life throbs about me yet I standM
Outgazing on majestic PowerN
Death rides with me on either handM
In my communion hourN
-
You that 'neath country skies can prayO
Scoff not at me the city clodM
My only respite of the DayM
Is this wild ride with GodM
