The Road To Kerity Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAABCADEBAAEA

Do you remember the two old people we passedA
on the road to KerityA
Resting their sack on the stones by the drenched waysideA
Looking at us with their lightless eyesB
through the driving rain and then out againC
To the rocks and the long white line of the tideA
Frozen ghosts that were children onceD
husband and wife father and motherE
Looking at us with those frozen eyesB
have you ever seen anything quite so chilledA
or so oldA
But we with our arms about each otherE
We did not feel the coldA
