An Ode On The Birth Day Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDEBDBDFGHGIDJD KLKLMNMOPQPQGRSR

Again the swift revolving yearA
Returns the bright th' auspicious mornB
That shed its kindest influence hereC
When Britain's future queen was bornB
Still may the Sun on this blest dayD
With brighter beams indulgent riseE
Still emulate the glad'ning rayD
And milder glories of her eyesE
Those charms thy spotless youth adornB
Each rip'ning year shall more displayD
So the soft blushes of the mornB
Give promise of a brighter dayD
The pomp of pow'r the grateful aweF
And homage which on sovereigns waitG
Your eyes without that aid cou'd drawH
And not demand it but createG
Yet not that all commanding formI
That face where love's soft graces playD
Tho' bright in every female charmJ
Shall claim alone the muse's layD
She meditates a nobler praiseK
And wings a far more glorious flightL
Drinks in thy virtue's fuller blazeK
And basks in those fair beams of lightL
First in the ever smiling trainM
Religion sheds diffusive graceN
In they fair breast confirms her reignM
And gives the sacred sweets of peaceO
There every generous passion glowsP
That can the human soul refineQ
There soft maternal fondness flowsP
And love so pure 'tis half divineQ
Well has it been decreed by fateG
A form so fair so bright a mindR
Should grace the world's chief regal seatS
And bless the noblest of mankindR
