To Mary Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCE FGFHIJIJ KLKMNOPO KBKBQEQE

If I had thought thou couldst have diedA
I might not weep for theeB
But I forgot when by thy sideA
That thou couldst mortal beB
It never through my mind had pastC
The time would e'er be o'erD
And I on thee should look my lastC
And thou shouldst smile no moreE
-
And still upon that face I lookF
And think 'twill smile againG
And still the thought I will not brookF
That I must look in vainH
But when I speak thou dost not sayI
What thou ne'er left'st unsaidJ
And now I feel as well I mayI
Sweet Mary thou art deadJ
-
If thou wouldst stay e'en as thou artK
All cold and all sereneL
I still might press thy silent heartK
And where thy smiles have beenM
While e'en thy chill bleak corse I haveN
Thou seemest still mine ownO
But there I lay thee in thy graveP
And I am now aloneO
-
I do not think where'er thou artK
Thou hast forgotten meB
And I perhaps may soothe this heartK
In thinking too of theeB
Yet there was round thee such a dawnQ
Of light ne'er seen beforeE
As fancy never could have drawnQ
And never can restoreE
