The Silent Folk Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF

Oh praise me not the silent folkA
To me they only seemB
Like leafless bird abandoned oakA
And muffled frozen streamB
-
I want the leaves to talk and tellC
The joy that's in the treeD
And water nymphs to weave a spellC
Of pixie melodyD
-
Your silent folk may be sincereE
But still when all is saidF
We have to grant they're rather drearE
And maybe too they're deadF
