Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEFOh praise me not the silent folk | A |
To me they only seem | B |
Like leafless bird abandoned oak | A |
And muffled frozen stream | B |
- | |
I want the leaves to talk and tell | C |
The joy that's in the tree | D |
And water nymphs to weave a spell | C |
Of pixie melody | D |
- | |
Your silent folk may be sincere | E |
But still when all is said | F |
We have to grant they're rather drear | E |
And maybe too they're dead | F |
