The Song Of The Dynamo Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCD EFGHIJKLMG NOPDEDDQRS DLGTTUVG WLXYZ ABCCD

I have been kissed by the Priestess of the Thin and Deadly BloodA
With the kiss that men call Lightning and yet I did not dieB
For the kiss was a message from God I felt it and understoodC
And I knew how He looked on the cosmic light and called it GoodC
I thrilled with a vibrant joy I hummed with ecstasyD
-
Men hear me sing but they know not the source of my songE
I hold them enthralled with my mysterious eyesF
They quiver when I purr with the voice of a wanton womanG
They touch me and fall deadH
I am a dream of the Creator made visibleI
My voice is an echo of the Voice that taughtJ
The morning stars their choral hymnK
The force that binds me to the marts of menL
Is the force that holds the planets in a leash while GodM
Drives them in glittering galaxy around the sunG
-
Here I am a weakling's symbol of a powerN
That spins the luminous girdle of Saturn in sure handsO
And frames the awful face of God in the shifting boreal lightP
My soul is destiny and immortalityD
It flashes in the eyes of the tempest glows alongE
The phosphorescent billows where the hand of the AlmightyD
Is laid for a moment on the breast of the seaD
And the sea smilesQ
My soul is the wingless wordR
That flies from zone to zone and speaks suddenly out of the voidS
-
In the years that are to beD
I shall soar like an evil bird over the warring camps of menL
And spew destroying poisonG
I shall be the sinew of a strange wingT
A wing that shall bear men into the forge of the thunder and the lightningT
But when I fail the groundlings shall look upU
And see their brothers through the ether plungeV
Stricken a haggard rout of flame flotillas of the sunG
-
In the years that are to comeW
I shall be a servant in the house of menL
I shall breathe unutterable music on the spindle and the loomX
I shall sing exultant with the choristers of dreams fulfilledY
And light shall be bound like sandals on my feetZ
-
I have been kissed by the Priestess of the Thin and Deadly BloodA
With the kiss that men call Lightning and yet I did not dieB
For the kiss was a message from God I felt it and understoodC
And I knew how He looked on the cosmic light and called it GoodC
I thrilled with a vibrant joy I hummed with ecstasyD
