Valley Song Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDE FGHIJ KLE

Your eyes and the valley are memoriesA
Your eyes fire and the valley a bowlB
It was here a moonrise crept over the timberlineC
It was here we turned the coffee cups upside downD
And your eyes and the moon swept the valleyE
-
I will see you again to morrowF
I will see you again in a million yearsG
I will never know your dark eyes againH
These are three ghosts I keepI
These are three sumach red dogs I run withJ
-
All of it wraps and knots to a riddleK
I have the moon the timberline and youL
All three are gone and I keep all threeE
