Children for a cup of coffee and aD
Plate of ham and eggs do they askE
Him if it was a good day's workB
And everything went well or do theyF
Stay off some topics and kill aboutA
The weather baseball politicsG
And the comic strips in the papersH
And the movies Do they look at hisI
Hands when he reaches for the coffeeJ
Or the ham and eggs If the littleK
Ones say Daddy play horse here'sL
A rope does he answer like a jokeM
I seen enough rope for todayF
Or does his face light up like aD
Bonfire of joy and does he sayF
It's a good and dandy world we liveN
'In And if a white face moon looksO
In through a window where a baby girlP
Sleeps and the moon gleams mix withQ
Baby ears and baby hair the hangmanR
How does he act then It must be easyJ
For him Anything is easy for a hangmanR
