Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFFGHIJKLM NOAJPQRSTU

THE ROSES slanted crimson sobsA
On the night sky hair of the womenB
And the long light fingered menC
Spoke to the dark haired womenB
'Nothing lovelier nothing lovelier 'D
How could he sit there among us allE
Guzzling blood into his gutsF
Goblets mugs bucketsF
Leaning toppling laughingG
With a slobber on his mouthH
A smear of red on his strong raw lipsI
How could he sit thereJ
And only two or three of us see himK
There was nothing to itL
He wasn't there at all of courseM
-
The roses leaned from the potsN
The sprays snot roses gold and redO
And the roses slanted crimson sobsA
In the night sky hairJ
And the voices chattered on the wayP
To the frappe speaking of picturesQ
Speaking of a strip of black velvetR
Crossing a girlish woman's throatS
Speaking of the mystic music flashT
Of pots and sprays of rosesU
'Nothing lovelier nothing lovelier '-
