Rhyme Scheme: AB CDB EFG HGIJ GKD LMNO

A FOREFINGER of stone dreamed by a sculptor points to the skyA
It says This way this wayB
-
Four lions snore in stone at the corner of the shaftC
They too are the dream of a sculptorD
They too say This way this wayB
-
The street cars swing at a curveE
The middle class passengers witness low lifeF
The car windows frame low life all day in picturesG
-
Two Italian cellar delicatessensH
sell red and green peppersG
The Florida bananas furnish a burst of yellowI
The lettuce and the cabbage give a greenJ
-
Boys play marbles in the cindersG
The boys' hands need washingK
The boys are glad they fight among each otherD
-
A plank bridge leaps the Lehigh Valley railroadL
Then acres of steel rails freight cars smokeM
And then the blue lake shoreN
Erie with Norse blue eyes and the white sunO
