Ossawatomie Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AB CDE F GHI GJGBEHKLMNLE

I DON'T know how he cameA
shambling dark and strongB
-
He stood in the city and told menC
My people are fools my people are young and strong my people must learn my people are terrible workers and fightersD
Always he kept on asking Where did that blood come fromE
-
They said You for the fool killer you for the booby hatch and a necktie partyF
-
They hauled him into jailG
They sneered at him and spit on himH
And he wrecked their jailsI
Singing 'God damn your jails '-
And when he was most in jailG
Crummy among the crazy in the darkJ
Then he was most of all out of jailG
Shambling dark and strongB
Always asking Where did that blood come fromE
They laid hands on himH
And the fool killers had a laughK
And the necktie party was a go by GodL
They laid hands on him and he was a gonerM
They hammered him to pieces and he stood upN
They buried him and he walked out of the grave by GodL
Asking again Where did that blood come fromE
